Michael John Angel, known to his students as 'Maestro' is the founder and Director of the Angel Academy of Art in Florence, Italy  http://www.angelartschool.com

Mr Angel studied with the renowned Pietro Anigoni in the 1960's where he was introduced to the techniques of the Old Masters and returned to Florence in 1997  where he established his own Academy dedicated to continuing the classical methods of teaching in traditional art.  Mr. Angel is highly regarded as one of the foremost figurative painters,  and his paintings and portraits hang in both public and private collections worldwide. Mr. Angel has taught workshops at the American Academy of Art in Chicago, in addition to lecturing at the Florentine campuses of several American universities and various private schools. From 1982 to 1988 he was the Director of the National Portrait Academy in Toronto, Canada, and from 1992 - 1995 the Assistant Director of the Florence Academy of Art in Florence, Italy.  As an ARC living master, Mr. Angel is considered one of the most inspiring and successful teachers in classical and traditional art today

Juliette Aristides

July 2015 sees Juliette Aristides joining Maestro Michael John Angel for a one week workshop at Liverpool Hope University.

Juliette is the Founder and Director at the Aristides Atelier in Seattle, WA www.aristidesarts.com  She the author of The Classical Drawing AtelierThe Classical Painting AtelierLessons in Classical Drawing, and the upcoming Lessons in Classical Painting (2015) published by Watson-Guptill, NY.

She has an exceptional reputation as an educator and has held workshops internationally in the US and in Europe. She is an ARC living master and  has served as judge for the the ARC international Salon. Juliette  was a Keynote speaker at the 2014 TRAC representational art conference and exhibits in one-person and group shows nationally including the Observations solo exhibition at the Reading Museum of Art

  Wendy Child studied with 'Maestro' Michael John Angel in Florence where she learnt the methods and techniques of the Old Masters and returned to the UK  2014  where she has been painting and teaching workshops in the realist art tradition in the UK and Belgium. Wendy's paintings and portraits are held in many private collections worldwide  and she has exhibited in individual and group shows across Europe.
